About Dough-Re-Mi

Hello! This is a blog about my adventures with Dough-Re-Mi, my first ever sourdough starter. Join me as we embark on our first ever sourdough journey.


Dough-Re-Mi was born April 5th, 2020. She is a white starter (Baker's Choice all-purpose flour). It took her about 7 days to get some real bubbly and sour activity going. I once forgot about her for 3 weeks in the fridge but she sprung back to life after twice-daily feedings. Pretty resilient for a white starter!
